In this section we introduce wood based Trackside structures that would be at home in the age of big steam locomotives. Please note wood bridges shown below are showcased in the Wood Bridges page (see Tab above).
The superstructure for this tower is made from the same wood used for our bridges and decking so offers a solid sturdy foundation. The tank, ladder and piping are plastic and the vent pipe is brass. The railing is either piano wire or aluminum. The tank is 4” tall and 2 inches in diameter. The wood superstructure is about 8 ¼ inches tall and is 4 inches square at the base.

Made from the same wood as all our bridges these loading docks are extremely sturdy and durable. The universal loading dock measures 14 inches long with a 6 inch ramp for a total of 20 inches. The dock is 3 inches wide so can also be used as a universal dock between two tracks. The flat car loading dock measures approximately 4 inches with a 6 inch ramp for a total of 10 inches. This dock can be placed at the end of a line where a flat car can be backed up to it for loading.
These docks are custom built to order so please allow 2 weeks for delivery. Custom lengths can also be accommodated.

Trackside Universal Loading Dock with Railing
An O scale storage tank the old fashion way sitting on top of a wood superstructure ready to service your favorite steam locomotive. The tank is 9 inches long and sits on top of a wood platform approximately 3 1/2 inches high. The new design allows for either a single or double tank version as shown below. The tank is available decorated with one of several railroad / custom decals.

The Open Air Loading Dock measures 6 1/2 inches (W) x 13 1/2 inches (L) x 7 inches (H). The loading dock is 2 1/2 inches wide and 13 1/2 inches long. The standard Flat Car Loading dock is used as a ramp for this structure so adds an extra 8 inches to the total length. The roof is styrene plastic painted to simulate a tarred roof.
