'Steel' Maintenance / Storage Shed

This O scale service shed is intended to be used as a 'steel' storage / maintenance building track side or in an industrial park. The footprint for the shed is approximately 6 ½ in x 9 ½ in x 5 ¼ in (h). It comes with an office door, two windows and a garage door (approximately 2 ½ in x 3 ¾ in). The shed comes standard with a set of doors that slide open to each side. As always decals are also an additional option. Custom lengths up to 11 inches are available upon request. Pump House

The pump house was originally designed to be used with a large tank farm but is now beign offered as a standalone structure. One side of the pump house has up to four inlet valves while the opposite side has one large outlet valve. The inlet valves are approximately 1 inch off the ground while the outlet valve is about 1 ¼ inch up. The height of the inlet valves will match up with the outlet valves of the large storage tanks which are offered separately. The standard color for the pump house will be light gray. Though not shown each shed comes with two decals (Private Property / Danger Electrical Equipment). The footprint is approximately 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. The roof line slopes from 3 1/2 on one side to 3 inches on the other. More photos are available in the Online Store. Shown below is the 4-inlet valve version connected to a tank farm.

Hopper / Box Car Loading Shed

This O Scale service shed is designed to be placed over a track to let a hopper cars or box cars load / unload product. The opening for the rail car is a pass through so the building can be placed anywhere on a siding. A corrugated panel attached to the top of the rail car opening gives an impression of a rolled up door. The same effect is used for the tractor-trailer opening. On one side of the building is an office door and a window. This building will look good as a standalone structure or as an ancillary building in an ethanol or grain complex. WRT an ethanol complex this structure can serve as a Dried Distiller Grains (DDG/DDGS) storage and loading shed. DDG is the solid material left over from the fermentation process to produce alcohol from corn. It is usually sold to feed lots for cattle. DDG is loaded on to trucks for those lots close by and onto hoppers for long range transportation by rail. Approximate foot print for the building 11 inches (W) x 12 inches (L) x 6.50 inches (H) on the high side. Standard color for the building is a light gray with dark gray doors and window however other options are light gray, white and black.

Electrical Sheds

A customer decided to place his terminal strips on top of his layout rather than underneath to allow easier access to wiring. We designed a small 'electrical shed' to place over the terminal strips to hide them from view. These 'electrical sheds' are now being offered for general sale and with a new optional modification. With a proper cutout on one side these sheds (as shown below) can be also used to hide ITADS if so desired. The smaller shed with a footprint of 2 ½ x 2 ½ x 2 ½ h inches can be used with ITADS from Z-Stuff. The larger shed (4 1/8 x 3 x 3 ½ h inches) is good for Lionel and MTH ITADS. The standard color for the electrical sheds will be light gray. Each shed comes standard with two decals (Private Property / Danger Electrical Equipment).

Portable Offices for Your Jobsite

If you need some quick office space on the construction site or don't have the real estate for a big office complex in the industrial yard Model Structures will be happy to trailer over our portable offices.
The standard design has two office containers stacked on top of each other. The footprint is approximately 8 1/2 inches by 3 inches by 6 inches (h). Add an extra one inch for the stairway to the width.
The offices can also be purchased separately for side by side location or a combination of two stacked and one office in a side location. Please note the stacked versions are glued together.
