Locomotive Shed
These types of locomotive sheds were common in the Southwest before air conditioning became available. The open structure allowed air circulation while keeping important equipment covered. The shed measures approx. 16"L x 6 1/2"W x 7 1/2"H with approx. 5 1/2" of clearance inside for track and train. The normal design comes undecorated so the customer can place their own favorite decals or can be ordered with one of several railroad names.
The locomotive shed shown has PRR decals. Please check the On Line Store for other available railroad names.
This shed can also be supplied with a slant roof configuration with either the corrugated front or the truss beam front as shown below. Custom lengths/widths are available - Double/Triple stalls, a 1 1/2" catwalk on one or both sides. Just contact us for a custom design to suit your needs!
